An exclusive beach party
The aim was to organise an exciting summer party for all internal staff based in the company’s head office in Malta. An exclusive beach party was organised on one of Malta’s most beautiful beaches, Paradise Bay which was privatised for the evening.
The objectives of the event were to help the employees feel engaged with the brand and proud to be part of the company. It was also a reward for their loyalty and hard work. When the venue was announced, employees were expecting a dinner at the beach bar with other patrons.
They were very impressed that the company actually privatised one of Malta’s most popular beaches just for them and had an exclusive bar, barbecue, lounge setup and entertainment programme.
Valued employees
The achieved outcome was that the employees felt truly valued by the company and happy and excited to work for them.
The brief for the event came through from the UK events office 2 months prior to the event. They wanted it to be surprise for all the internal staff based in the Malta office therefore they contacted the DMC who presented a number of options, one of them being the chosen venue Paradise Bay.
A taste of paradise
The setup began in the morning, the beach bar was closed to the public all day and announcements had been put up in advance to advise the public. The party started at 7.30pm. Guests helped themselves to drinks from the bar and the traditional boat which was placed on the beach and filled with chilled beers.
Employee awards
Masseurs helped the guests relax, a fun photo booth with props broke the ice and a band enhanced the atmosphere. After sunset, the awards to the best performing employees were handed out, fire dancers performed from the sea and the party really kicked off.
