Incentive Trip August 2023 for 66 pax

This particular group was looking for a sunny, sea-side destination and the Maltese Islands, with 300 Days of sunshine yearly, was the evident choice.

The program was based over 5 nights in August. It included exclusive activities such a private concerto, Speedboat transfer from Malta to Gozo and return with a private Gullett and more.

Day 1

This group chose the Westin Dragonara Resort for their stay in Malta. Upon arrival at the Airport, the guests were boarded a coach whilst their luggage was being loaded from a the airports conveyor belt onto a luggage truck on the way to the airport. Upon arrival at the Hotel a private check-in and reception was held in the Hotel terrace with massage therapists privately booked to give the guests a post-flight head and shoulder massage.

In the evening Dinner was served at Chophouse, the award winning steakhouse with magnificent views of Valletta and Marsamxett Harbour.

Day 2

This day was dedicated to Valletta. The group enjoyed a nice guided walking tour around the capital city with 2 stops along the way. The 1st stop was the St. John’s Co-Cathedral; built by the Order of the Knights of St John was completed in 1577, soon after the Great Siege. This stop was followed by a Gelato Stop at one of Valletta oldest and most sought after Cafeteria; Caffe Cordina. Lunch was served in the Markethall or as it is known in Malta; “Is-Suq tal-Belt”; a Maltese Heritage site, which has now been renovated except the inside structure which was one of the first of its kind in Malta made out of iron and is still intact. The group had a level of the Hall privatized and a family style Maltese Lunch was served. After Lunch the guests had free time to explore the city on their before heading back to the hotel for some free time before the evening program.

In the evening, the guests were surprised with a fleet of 3 authentic Maltese Vintage buses for a unique transfer to the old, medieval capital city, Mdina. Upon arrival, the guests were surprised with a pair of Torchbearers wearing traditional costumes which accompanied for a short guided walking tour around the medieval city. The tour finished with a glass of prosecco and 2 canapes on the bastions of Mdina, where one can admire the 180 degrees of panoramic views. But prosecco wasn’t the only surprise for that evening. The group then headed to the Mdina Cathedral, which was founded in the 12th century, and according to tradition it stands on the site of where Roman governor Publius met St. Paul following his shipwreck on Malta. The cathedral was opened exclusively for the guest where they sat down and were surprised with a short concerto from a local soprano and organist. Following the concerto, the guest then headed to the courtyard at Palazzo Vilhena, a French Baroque Palace in Mdina built in 1726. The courtyard was beautifully decorated with ambience lighting and a local harpist was booked to play during the dinner.

Day 3

This day was all about Fun, Sea and Sun. The group started the day with a direct speedboat transfer from the hotel to Gozo, the Sister Island. Upon arrival they found chauffeur driven tuk tuks waiting to take them to the highlights that Gozo has to offer. There were a few refreshment stops along the way, including a selection of local snacks. The Gozo tour ended with an exclusive surprise lunch on the Gozo’s Salt Pans. A BBQ Buffet Lunch was setup up with Tables, Chairs and Gazebos. But the fun didn’t stop there! After the lunch, the guests were transported back to the harbour where they found a Turkish Gullet awaiting them. They Gullet then slowly sailed back to Malta with a nice swim stop in Comino on the way back. They also have an open bar and DJ playing their favorite tunes onboard.

After a fun packed day, it was decided to have a relatively relaxed program for the evening. The guests re-grouped in the lobby walked a short 10 minute walk to Lore & Fitch Restaurant, one of the best steakhouses in Malta, where they would enjoy a nice steak dinner.

Day 4

Today was dedicated to visiting the Rural areas of the Malta. The guests boarded a coach and drove to the Southwest coast of Malta. The 1st stop was at the Dingli Cliffs, the highest point of the Maltese Islands. The stunning Dingli Cliffs overlook the blue Mediterranean Sea and stunning views of Filfa. A Refreshment stop was set up for the guests to enjoy along with the breathtaking view. The tour continued with a boat trip to the Blue Grotto; a sea cave known for its bright blue water, due to reflected sunlight, a true spectacle to admire. The group then headed to the Marsaxlokk; a small, traditional fishing village, known for its views, boats, fishermen, fish market and history. An exquisite fish lunch was served at La Nostra Padrona, one of the restaurants situated by the promenade of Marsaxlokk.

In the evening, the group found a fleet of stretch limousines awaiting at the hotel to transfer them for a night a La Plage, a trendy beach club situated in Sliema. Upon arrival, A Cocktail reception was held while guests enjoyed the sunset by the sea. A live-cooked BBQ Dinner was served along with a local open bar.

Day 5

The guests had the day at leisure to enjoy the island at their own pace before the Final Dinner in the evening. The final evening was truly a magical experience for the guests. The evening started with a fleet of Vintage Cars awaiting the guests at the hotel for a nice transfer to the Terrace of the Knights Hospitallers, a historical building, built as a hospital in the 16th century by the Order of St. John. The Order of the Knights of Saint John of Jerusalem, also known as Order of Hospitallers or Knights Hospitaller, were among the most famous of the Roman Catholic military orders during the Middle Ages.

Upon arrival the guests where surprised with a group of 16 actors including Knights, drummers, trumpeters, torch bearers, flag bearers, sword fighters, master of ceremony & Grand Master for an authentic knighting ceremony. The Guests were escorted up by the Knights to the terrace of the Knight’s Hospitallers, which has a breathtaking view of the sea and the Grand Harbour. On the terrace the actors re-enacted a knighting ceremony for the group and explained the history of the Knights of St. John in Malta.

A 3 course Gala Dinner was served on the terrace while a 5 Piece Jazz band played songs to entertain the guests. However the surprises didn’t just stop there. The night ended with a beautiful exclusive 5 minute fireworks show for the guests; truly a magical night to remember!
